July 2016 News & Tips

July News & Tips

Hello!  Welcome to our July Newsletter.  We hope you enjoy it.

Have you been to an SFDC Meetup yet? People are really enjoying this easy and fun way to learn and practice training tips, meet other dog owners, and have a great time playing with their dogs.

Come out with your dog for some socialization and some fun.  Learn a new trick or 2.   Have a question about your dog’s behavior? The Pooch Coach will be offering free 1-1 advice to attendees.   It’s a great way to practice your dog’s greeting skills with other dogs as well as with humans… All overseen by an expert canine behaviorist.

Here’s a video of people enjoying previous Meetups – hear what they have to say!

And speaking of DOGTV…
We’re doing some more filming on other days, so if you’re interested in getting your dog on TV, just send us an email: info@poochcoach.com with the subject “DOGTV casting call” with a pic of your pup and a description of what he or she likes to do.

July Tips – Things to Fear!

I’ve recently blogged about 3 things you should be prepared for to help keep your dog safe and happy: Fireworks, Foxtails & Skunks!

Here is an article on keeping your dog from being anxious around fireworks… Just in time for July 4th!

Here is some important info on how to be prepared for a skunk attack.

Here is some helpful info about the danger of foxtails, with some interesting pics of Kompis’ vet getting one out of her eye!

I hope you don’t ever actually need to use any of these tips!  But, if you do, I’m glad we could help.  As always, if you need more help with anything, feel free to give us a call 415-643-3333 or email info@poochcoach.com
