October 2016 News & Tips

October News & Tips

Hello!  Welcome to our October Newsletter.  We hope you enjoy it.

Have you been to an SFDC Meetup yet? People are really enjoying this easy and fun way to learn and practice training tips, meet other dog owners, and have a great time playing with their dogs.

Come out with your dog for some socialization and some fun.  Learn a new trick or 2.   Have a question about your dog’s behavior?

The Pooch Coach will be offering free 1-1 advice to attendees.   It’s a great way to practice your dog’s greeting skills with other dogs as well as with humans… All overseen by an expert canine behaviorist.

Here’s a video of people enjoying previous Meetups – hear what they have to say!

October Tips

Tricks & Treats

Since Halloween can be a harrowing experience for many dogs, I’m devoting our tips this month to helping your dog – and your sanity – during this holiday.

First, here are some general tips for Halloween safety. Note: Please do NOT lock your dog in another room!  This is a great time to practice door greeting & socialization skills (at any age)! http://poochcoach.com/halloween-dog-tips/

And now for the biggest issue on Halloween – the doorbell!  Does your dog go a bit insane when the doorbell rings?  Here are some tips for practicing his response to help calm him down so that you can all have a happier (and quieter!) evening: http://poochcoach.com/halloween-dogs-doorbell-tips/
