Fear and Aggression Tips

BrodyBrody is a sweetheart, but has a tendency to be sensitive and fearful. This has caused him to act a bit aggressively at times towards strangers and other dogs.

It’s typical that fear turns into aggression as dogs age, so the sooner you address it the better.

Aggression usually starts to show up after 1 year, and even more so around 18 months. Most of the calls I get from people saying that their sweet dog “suddenly” started barking or being aggressive is at this age.

It’s never too late to work on an issue, but it’s much easier to work with a fearful dog than one who is likely to bite! So please get help with a timid dog as soon as you see any signs.

Here’s some info on aggression and fear.
