Teaching a dog to jump over an object

It’s never too late (or too early) to teach your dog some extra fun tricks.   One of my favorites, which is surprisingly simple, is teaching a dog to jump over an object.  You can start with a household object like a broom handle and work up to having them jump over your arm or leg.  Use your imagination and have fun!

Kompis has won jumping contests with her ability to jump over anything I put in front of her.  Below, she performs on stage for a charity event.

Teaching your dog tricks is a perfect way to keep him in shape both mentally and physically. So, give this one a try and watch your dog have a great time!

Below is a Pooch Coach video (from a live TV show) that demonstrates teaching a dog to jump over an object.
